Client Feedback

Sedgefield Gardens, Devizes

“The trustees are delighted with both the end product and also with the smooth way in which the construction progressed, particularly taking into account the confined layout of the site and the proximity to the existing almshouse and our neighbour to the south side of the site.

Particular mention must be made of Craig Hicks, who as site manager established good relationships with all parties at the Charity, particularly the residents immediately adjacent to the building site, which was critical in the smooth progression to completion.  The minor issues which cropped up were dealt with promptly and efficiently.

The standard of workmanship was high and with relatively minimal snagging passed the exacting standards of our trustees and staff with building experience.”

We are extremely pleased with the standard of workmanship achieved in refurbishing this cottage and the range of skills demonstrated by your workforce.  The traditional lime plastering of the staircase wall was particularly good.

This well managed project was completed both on time and within budget with few problems along the way, mainly due to the good contractor/client relationship.  Looking back at recent cottage refurbishments Wilkins have carried out for The National Trust at Buscot and Coleshill, I would have no hesitation in recommending them to colleagues for similar projects in the future.

“The directors of CHE would like to thank and congratulate all involved with delivering this project. The building team, to a man, were courteous, cheerful and cooperative. Designing the timetable and staying on schedule was no mean achievement and Craig [Hicks]was throughout the process a quietly resolute but adaptable site manager.”

“We were very pleased with the performance of Wilkins Builders. The programme was very condensed and the project was completed on time and to a high standard. We found Wilkins to be considerate with the building occupants and kept the site in good order. We also found Wilkins to be proactive with overcoming unexpected issues that were found with the existing structure and fabric of the building”.

“I am writing to inform you how satisfied we are with the completed work on my sister’s cottage following the gas explosion that took place 19 months ago. It has been very upsetting for my sister and my wife and I have been very grateful to your workmen, in particular Derek and Kevin for the care and attention they showed her and us during this time.

The extra little things and the manner in which they were done have made all the difference moving happily back into The Horsefair. A very good advertisement for your company, and one that we felt should be recognised. ”

“I employed Wilkins Builders during 2006 to carry out a major restoration at the above address. Not only did they complete the job to a high standard, they also managed to do so ahead of the planned schedule, which was an unprecedented experience”.

“I found all Wilkins staff extremely easy to deal with and a pleasure to have working on the site for over 9 months. I am happy to recommend them.”
