History

1950: Frank Wilkins described as ‘the man on the spot’ in the local newspaper commences local building and maintenance works for the community around Calne.
1963: Mel Wilkins, eldest son joins his father as an apprentice.
1978: Younger son Adrian Wilkins joins the family business following experience at a Chippenham builders.
1984: Frank Wilkins retires. Mel and Adrian Wilkins become partners of the business.
1992: FK Wilkins & Sons becomes Wilkins Builders Ltd.
1996: Wilkins Builders secures its first Wiltshire Council Term Maintenance Contract.
2005: Wilkins Builders becomes part of the Raymond Brown Group, which provides greater strength and depth to the business.
2007: Mel retires and Adrian becomes Managing Director.
2010: Wilkins celebrates 60 years serving the local community.
2011: Wilkins secured its fourth consecutive Wiltshire Council Term Maintenance Contract delivering reactive and planned maintenance to buildings across north Wiltshire.
2014: Wilkins has its best year on record and announce record revenues of over £5m.
